Establish A Routine
If your house is anything like mine, mornings – especially school mornings – are the hardest. It used to feel like I was trying to cook breakfast, get myself together, dress my kids, brush hair and teeth, get shoes on and backpacks packed all at the same time…and with a timer counting down the seconds until we were inevitably running late. Establishing an AM routine – with a chart for my big kids – was the greatest gift to us all! Check out the printable AM, mid-day/after school, and PM routine charts below.
Pro Tip: Print your preferred sheets and chore cards, laminate them, and add velcro to the back to create you own reusable routine chart!

Have you ever noticed how much kids love to help? They delight in contributing and serving – without the desire for reward. The sense of accomplishment my kiddos feel when they have been able to assist me with something on my to-do list reminds me that they can do so much more around the house than I give them credit – or opportunity!
Click the button below to download our handy chore list with age appropriate tasks. Pro Tip: Assign one or two chores to your kiddo and have them work on those specific chore for at least a week. This gives them to opportunity to learn the chore and become more efficient.
